Many foster children arrive to JYS with only the clothes on their backs. Oftentimes, their few belongings are stuffed in garbage bags, and toys are forgotten. JYS collects donations of suitcases, duffle bags, and backpacks for our youth, as well as toys and other personal care items.
We all know that holidays should be a happy time for children. While state funding allows us only to provide the basic necessities of food, clothing, and shelter, children require additional incentives and rewards to build their self-esteem and help them remained focused. Birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and rewards for good behavior or report cards are all but impossiblbe without your help!
